About This Book The project "The Mouse House" by Karina Schaapman was built as a decoration for this children's book. The house consisted of cardboard and papier-mache, authentic materials from the 50-70-ies were used for the interiors. The Mouse House had a facade, a back and more than hundred rooms, and corridors and balconies as well. Karina has also produced mice for the house. While building different rooms, the stories about the main characters Sam and Julia have emerged almost on their own.
